Diversitat Pako Festa is the largest free celebration of cultural diversity in Australia!

The Pako Festa 2017 along Pakington Street has gathered together thousands of people from Geelong’s local and cultural communities, professional performers, community groups including the Filipino community, schools, businesses, street traders and artists to celebrate the city’s multicultural community.

“Discover food of the World” was the theme for 2017 with international cuisine from some 20 local community groups represented in food stalls at West Park and along Pakington Street of Geelong.

Up to 100,000 people came together to enjoy the smorgasbord of fabulous cultural food, traditional dancing, live music, the popular Pako Street Parade, workshops, art exhibitions, craft displays, free children’s activities and day-long non-stop free entertainment

Started in 1983, Pako Festa is an annual free event organised by Diversitat.

More information is available on Pako Festa Facebook Page.
