The National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), in partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and the Office of Senator Loren Legarda announces the open call to qualified artists, curators and cultural workers overseas for curatorial proposals for the Philippines’ participation in the 58th Venice Art Biennale, initiated by la Fondazione la Biennale di Venezia.
Since 2015, the Philippines has joined the global conversation about the state of the world and its people through the Philippine Pavillion at the Venice Art Biennale. The Philippines will continue to participate in this important contemporary art exhibit.
The selected curatorial proposal will officially represent the Philippines in 2019. The deadline for submission is 24 May 2018.
