UNBEATABLE SEAT SALE: Cebu Pacific Celebrates 29th Anniversary and Philippine Independence Day

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading airline, has announced a flash seat sale with tickets from just $209 one-way all-in ex Melbourne and $219 one-way all-in ex Sydney to mark its 29th anniversary. The sale coincides with the celebration of Philippine Independence Day, marking 127 years since the nation proclaimed independence from Spanish colonial rule in 1898.

The latest deals run until this Sunday 15 June and are for travel between 1 December 2025 and
31 May 31 2026. The great prices, which are designed to drive additional visitors from Australia to the Philippines, were released at an aviation and travel industry gathering at the QT Hotel in Melbourne. In addition to the discounted prices, Cebu Pacific used the forum to showcase the latest extension of its current advertising campaign entitled “Fly to Your Happy”.

Speaking at the event, an airline spokesperson said Cebu Pacific was seeking to position the Philippines as a “must-see” destination for Australians as the country sought to take on more established holiday spots across the region such as Bali, Thailand and Malaysia.

“Cebu Pacific is pleased to acknowledge the boom in Australians seeking new adventures and fresh locations such as those on offer in the Philippines,” the spokesperson said. “The Philippines has been named as one of the most Instagram-able spots on the planet and is ramping up its popularity as a holiday spot among Australians whose numbers doubled from 2022 to 2023 and are estimated to hit 250,000 when official figures are released for 2024.”

The Philippines has now moved into the Top 10 destinations for Aussies for the first time as a result with Australia becoming the fifth largest contributor of tourists to the country.

“We invite Australians to discover happiness by exploring the Philippines’ various iconic sites, made even more accessible through our key airport hubs, extensive local network and unbeatable seat sales,” said the spokesperson.

“We now offer stronger inter-island connectivity than ever before via hubs in Manila, Clark, Cebu, Iloilo, and Davao. From these jump-off points, visitors can dive into Palawan’s world-renowned destinations like El Nido, Coron and Puerto Princesa, where activities such as shipwreck diving, cliff jumping, and snorkelling await. Cebu Pacific also offers direct access to Siargao, the country’s surfing capital, through flights from Clark, Cebu and Davao.”

Cebu Pacific began flying to Australia in 2014 and now offers four flights per week from Melbourne and daily services from Sydney with an average seat load factor of around 85%.

The carrier was named Best Airline at the 2025 Routes Asia awards, the second consecutive win at the prestigious regional event, and recorded its highest ever Environmental, Social and Governance performance in 2024, placing the airline among the most sustainable in the world.

It was also recognised last year as one of the world’s top 20 safest low-cost airlines by Airlineratings.com, a leading airline safety and product rating website that evaluates airline safety.
