Filipinos in Australian outback celebrate 123rd Philippine Independence Day

On the 12th of June 2021, the Filipino Community of Roxby Downs in South Australia celebrated the 123rd Philippine Independence Day with a midday sausage sizzle at the Pioneer Drive Playground.

At 1:00pm a formal program followed where Outback Pinoy Movement (OPM) President Rene Ayala and the Roxby Downs Council, represented by Stuart Edwards, planted a Jacaranda to mark the enduring friendship between Australians and Filipinos. The event was well attended and it was another success for OPM Roxby Downs.
