Tara, Sayaw Tayo: Melbourne’s community dance fundraiser

SAYAW TAYO is a social group formed by few friends who wants to hold dance functions mainly for the purpose of social interaction or casual gathering within the Filipino Australian Community. They know that through dancing they can help develop their physical and cognitive skills apart from being the best way to relieve stress from work, family issues and personal problems. Thus, the group decided to hold their first dance event which were strongly supported by many organisations and friends. Being able to raise extra funds from the event they have decided to make it an annual event and aimed to support for charity. The group is led by Mr. Chris Centeno of My Travel Solution, who have also been supporting many organisations in the community over the years.

Sayaw Tayo members have constantly been in support to the many organisations within the community across Victoria and apart from that, the Sayaw Tayo group have contributed so far to the following: Red Cross Australia, FCCVI, Noche Buena hamper to the Philippines through Fr. Joselito Asis and Gawad Kalinga. The group will endeavour to continue supporting Charitable Organisations for funds raised on their event.

After years of pandemic, Sayaw Tayo group is now holding their usual annual event on Saturday, 5 November at Polish Hall in Helene Street Ardeer. For inquiries, please call Liz Honey 0412 191 577 or Chris Centeno 0413 455 918.
