7000 Islands brings Filipino spirits to Sydney Spirits Festival

The Sydney Spirits Festival returned this year to the Overseas Passenger Terminal in The Rocks, showcasing a wide variety of spirits from Australia and around the world.

Among the many brands present was 7000 Islands, a boutique distributor of Filipino-made spirits. Their participation gave festivalgoers a chance to taste rum and other liquors from the Philippines—some for the very first time.

Over three days, attendees explored everything from gin, whisky, and tequila to soju and craft liqueurs. 7000 Islands stood out as a representative of the Philippines, offering a unique introduction to spirits not often seen in the Australian market.

The team behind the booth engaged with curious visitors, sharing the stories behind their products and what makes Filipino spirits distinct. For many, it was a new experience that sparked interest in the country’s distilling traditions and local ingredients.

While the festival was filled with well-known and emerging brands alike, having 7000 Islands on the floor added cultural depth and variety. It also helped put Filipino craftsmanship on the radar of Australian consumers and spirit enthusiasts.
