AMA Victoria looking for Events Assistant

The Australian Medical Association Victoria is looking for a dynamic and experienced events assistant to work with the Director of Membership Marketing and Communications to deliver quality events. Located close to the city, this is an exceptional opportunity for someone who is passionate about events and enjoys working in a team environment where the focus is on delivering a high standard of events. This is six-seven week, short-term contract and will start immediately.

Primary responsibilities will include:
Working closely with the Marketing and Membership team to deliver events that deliver results and meet high expectations.
Ability to effectively coordinate and manage work with minimal supervision, including setting priorities and working to tight deadlines.
Prepare and manage event plans, project briefs, budgets, speakers, venues and other logistics associated with the relevant events.
Performing all administration tasks associated with each event.
Work with external and internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional events.

We welcome applicants who have a professional manner combined with experience in the delivery of quality events. Furthermore, this role will suit someone who has excellent communication, organisational, creative and professional skills, and has the ability to manage a range of events and varying workloads at any given time. Attention to detail and the ability to work with people at all levels are essential attributes for this position.

The successful applicant will ideally have formal qualifications in business, marketing or public relations and will be available to work at events before and after normal working hours.
