Australia Philippines Business Council Celebrates 50 Years of Bilateral Partnership

The Australia Philippines Business Council (APBC) marked its 50th Anniversary with a milestone celebration on 20 November 2025 at Doltone House Hyde Park, Sydney, bringing together dignitaries, industry leaders, business owners, and community representatives.

Hosted by the dynamic Brian Lorenz, the evening highlighted the Philippines’ upcoming role as Chair of ASEAN, a significant moment that reflects the nation’s growing regional leadership and the continued importance of Australia–Philippines cooperation.

One of the major features of the night was the introduction of Manila Town in Doonside, NSW, the event’s Principal Sponsor. Presented by Stephen Guo and Ramon Ramajo, the project showcased an ambitious vision for enhanced cultural and commercial connectivity between Australia and the Philippines.

The APBC expressed gratitude to the organisations and representatives who supported the golden anniversary celebration, including Manila Town, ACEN, Australian Academies Group, Symphonic Consultancy, Njin, Teneo Corporate Lawyers, Pitcher Partners, WorkQC Group, Consul Sheila Marie Tario, Consul Commercial Emmanuel Ang, and council representatives from Blacktown, Ku-ring-gai, and Canada Bay.
Export Australia’s Managing Director Arnold Jorge was also among the key supporters.

As APBC closes its 50th year, the council extended its appreciation to members, partners, and the business community for their enduring commitment to strengthening Australia–Philippines relations. The milestone event reflects not only a proud history but also an exciting future ahead for bilateral cooperation.
