Australia’s biggest blood pressure check on 6 May 2015

The National Stroke Foundation is once again partnering with Chemmart to take the nation’s blood pressure. We’re setting up free health checks in capital city sites and televising it live from on the Seven Network’s The Morning Show. This year we hope to give health checks to more than 15,000 people across the country. The free blood pressure check will be held nationwide on 6 May 2015.

So why should you care?
Stroke kills more women than breast cancer and more men than prostate cancer and leaves tens of thousands of Australians disabled. Across the country there are almost 440,000 people living with the devastating after-effects of stroke.

Many strokes are preventable yet people don’t know if they are at risk. We could save tens of thousands of Australians from stroke with a simple health check.
