Animal Lovers Rescue Mission (ALRM) Inc. successfully held its third Bollywood fundraising event.

This year, a phenomenal number of guests, totalling 250, were involved in the fundraising charity. Bollywood III raised $2,400, which will be donated to the Lost Dog Home and Paws Shelter in Manila, Philippines. ALRM pays for adoption fees and raises money to grant those in need of companionship.

Kate Holter, a representative from the Lost Dog Home in North Melbourne, made an appearance as she shared the same vision with ALRM. She believes that dogs should be treated fairly and should be in a kind, loving home.
ALRM’s founder, Jessica Peritos, was motivated by the loss of a furry loved one. Alongside this, during an emotional journey in the Philippines, she found her passion as she saw all the neglected animals on the streets and people who walked by, unblinking and doing nothing to help them. Thus, she began her mission to help animals globally and unite animal lovers together. The organisation’s objective is simple— raise money in order to provide animals in Australia and the Philippines with shelter, caring owners, a good home and clean drinking water. Through their previous Bollywood events, they have successfully achieved this aim and now, a good number of animals are happy, loved and well cared for.

This year, with the money raised, $1,300 will go towards the Lost Dog Home, to assist with adoptions and $1,000 to the Paws Shelter in Manila. With people’s help, ALRM can continue to thrive and save animals that are sick, homeless, neglected or in need of a loving home.

ALRM consists of Cecilia Byrne, Jessica Peritos, Sandy Monteagudo, Liza Varga, Gemma Mostyn, Sheriel Entera, Elvie Mills, Alan Apostole, Michael Cook and Anne-Marie Cook. For more information on how to become involved, donate or sponsor, feel free to contact Jessica at jessperitos@hotmail.com or the President, Cecilia Byrne at 0413 659 628.
