Dining with carers and people with dementia

The Australian Filipino Community Services Inc (AFCS), Dementia Centre and the HammondCare are organising “Dining with carers and people with dementia” on 5 June 2015 12noon- 3pm at The Dove- Filipino Seniors Wellbeing Centre.

Peter Morgan-Jones, a renowned executive chef and author of “Don’t give me eggs: 188 cracking recipes for people with Alzheimer’s” will demonstrate how to prepare finger food and pureed meals and drinks. Filipino executive chef Armand Javellana, Australia National Team Member and winner of the 1988 Culinary Olympics in Germany, will also participate in the event.

Meanwhile, AFCS’s Volunteering Program will be launched on 29 May 2015, 3pm at The Dove- Filipino Seniors Wellbeing Centre. Dinner and Salsa dancing will follow afterwards.
