DLSZ Rondalla awarded third gold at Australian International Music Festival 2025

The De La Salle Santiago Zobel (DLSZ) Rondalla has once more demonstrated excellence, earning the renowned Gold Award at the Australian International Music Festival held on 11 July 2025. Prior to this, they had earned Gold Awards at festivals in Hawaii and Los Angeles.

The Australian International Music Festival is a prestigious event that provides young musicians with performance opportunities and awards deserving groups with Gold, Silver, or Bronze based on adjudicated performance.

The Rondalla performed at several esteemed venues, including the University of NSW’s Sir John Clancy Auditorium, the Maritime Museum, Chatswood Concourse, and culminating in a performance at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall. The awarding ceremony was held at Sydney Town Hall.

Their repertoire included Alvamar Overture and Palladio (arranged by Elaine Espejo Cajucom), Gabi ng Mga Aswang (arranged by Christi Anne Castro), and other pieces well-received by the audience.
