Fil-Aussie RnB talent Sheralyn May releases latest single: ‘Baby You’

Sheralyn May is a 21-year-old Pop/RnB singer from Melbourne, Australia with a Filipino-Australian heritage. Singing since the age of 6 years old, as a master school student at the David Jaanz School of Singing, Sheralyn’s passion for music has given her many opportunities such as performing at Melbourne gigs, competitions charities and festivals.

Sheralyn has been a guest on the Foxtel’s Television Show ‘The Platform’, ‘Channel 7 Sunrise’, as well as a Top 12 finalist on X factor Australia 2014.

She has had opportunities to be a support act for artists such as IYAZ, T-Pain, Kapamilya concert, Gabe Bondoc, Reece Mastin, Nora Aunor, Bo Cerrudo and many more. Sheralyn also has a passion for modelling where she came runner up in Miss Multiverse Australia TV reality and modelling show in 2017, 1st place as ‘Flores de Mayo Queen pageant’, graduated at the Australian Academy of Modelling where she has scouted and signed by “Wink”, “JR” and “FRM” modelling agencies.

From there she has had the opportunity to model for big brands such as, ‘Calvin Klein’, ‘Superdry’ and ‘Loreal’. Besides her passion for music, the artist also has a passion for learning, with a Bachelor Degree in Criminology and Sociology at Monash University, and is now pursuing her Honours degree in Criminology and specialising in Family Violence.

Prior to COVID-19, Sheralyn May loved to perform! However, due to the pandemic, her love for performing had to pause.

COVID-19 caused some delays in her planned music releases in 2020. Following up from her recent Pop/Ballad single ‘Fool for You’, Sheralyn was super excited to go back in the studio to write and record her newest Rnb track: ‘Baby You’ produced by RMR Productions, which was released in late September on various music platforms.

With a mix of Rnb and pop, Sheralyn May in ‘Baby You’ reflects on the emotions someone may have when falling in love. This song represents how you cannot ignore the feelings and love you have towards someone, that no matter what you do, you cannot get your mind off them. In this track, Sheralyn May also talks about taking things slow and that there is no rush with love, but to just accept it and to let it unfold.

“The track reflects on the difficulty of hiding your emotions and feelings towards someone when you know they are the one for you,” she says. She wants her listeners to know that it is important to not get overwhelmed with your emotions, and to not overthink things.

During lockdown, Sheralyn has taken the opportunity to write, practice and perfect her upcoming singles. She also learns new covers and play them on the piano, whilst jamming and recording covers to post on her social media.

Sheralyn hopes to record and release her two singles. She looks forward to being able to perform live music as she hadn’t performed live in almost a year.
