Filipino-Australian singer-songwriter Timba releases new single ‘Catch A Vibe’

Filipino-Australian artist Timba has released his latest offering, ‘Catch A Vibe,’ now available on all streaming platforms via an independent release. The release showcases personal and intimate themes from the Sydney resident and is set to take you on a journey of heartfelt emotion and reflection.

Produced by Blite Beats and mixed by frequent collaborator Chris Jo – ‘Catch A Vibe’ draws inspiration from the 1983 hit ‘True’ by Spandau Ballet but entails its spin thanks to Timba’s dream-like vocals and introspective songwriting. With powerful and confronting lyrics, Timba puts you in the driver’s seat, asking for vulnerability and a way to open up – a much-needed nudge in the current climate of pandemics and social distancing. Timba stresses the importance of sharing your feelings after having gone through tough times and insists that there is no judgement on how you feel, no matter what walk of life you come from.

As I reflect on the loss of a friend from suicide, this song reminds everyone to open up and speak about anything and everything to their loved ones free of judgement. It is about friendship, transparency, and vibing out with each other – Timba on his reflection of ‘Catch A Vibe,

Timba has grown leaps and bounds throughout his career and found appreciation for the art of music at a young age. He draws inspiration from his Filipino culture and considers himself lucky to work with those that inspire him the most. Local Sydney artists such as Chris Jo and Ello C have shaped Timba’s sound and led him to successful accomplishments such as receiving a commercial radio play on Sydney’s The Edge 96.1 and the popular Australian nationwide radio station – Triple J

Timba is amongst many artists carrying the Global Pinoy Music (also dubbed as GLOPM) flag and is set to release a swag of records over the remaining 2021.
