Filipino students in South Australia’s Flinders University form group

By Keith Censoro

The Filipino League of Students at Flinders University celebrated on 8 December 2022 its establishment as one of the university clubs at Flinders University, South Australia.

The event was participated by the former Philippine Consul to South Australia, Darryll Johnson, representatives from Study Adelaide, Flinders University International Student Service, Flinders University Australia Awards Network, The Disability Students Association, and some Filipino clubs from other universities. There were also some Filipinos living in Adelaide who attended the event.

It was a night full of laughter and rich experiences as this newly established club shared mouth-watering Filipino cuisines and delicacies like adobo and pancit, among others.

The Filipino League of Students at Flinders University (FILOS) aims to bring together Filipino students, both domestic and international, to celebrate its rich cultural heritage. The group also seeks to share with the community the skills, talents, and expertise Filipinos can contribute to the world and bring honor and pride to the Philippines.

The event ended with a mini karaoke session and dances, the Filipino way.
