Kuh Ledesma Brings Timeless OPM Magic to Perth

Last Wednesday, 29 October, Perth was privileged to see one of the original Filipino OPM divas, Ms Kuh Ledesma, in her one-night-only concert. Held at Rixon Theatre in Como, her loyal and avid fans attended from all over Perth to witness one of the Philippines’ pride.

She was joined by Perth’s own Paradance, led by Para Isidro, and The Society, led by Una Genuino. The audience was immersed in an extraordinary celebration of music and artistry. With a storied career, Kuh mesmerised everyone through her rich, emotive voice and flawless stage presence.

Spanning over 47 years as a professional singer, Kuh’s 22 studio albums and numerous industry awards reflect a remarkable career highlighted by her US debut Precious reaching the Billboard Jazz Top 20 and her Salem Music Award at London’s Royal Albert Hall. She has collaborated with legends such as Noel Pointer, Jack Jones, Michel Legrand, Jim Brickman, The Platters, and singer-songwriter Kenny Rankin.

If you see and hear Kuh perform live, you wouldn’t think she is 70 years old. Yes, she’s 70! But she has become an idol all over again — looking radiant and youthful, with a voice as captivating as when many of us first heard her decades ago.

It was definitely an unforgettable evening with a music legend.

Big thanks to the organisers, Paraluman Entertainment and Resonance Media Group.
