The annual Caracol Festival in Makati City is held every last Sunday of February. It is the “official festival of the City of Makati wherein participating groups are dressed in flowers, trees, birds, butterflies, fruits and other endangered species of animals in expression for the need to preserve and conserve mother nature”.

The Caracol sa Makati started as a Fiesta Island program of the Department of Tourism in 1989 until the government of Makati made it as its official city festival.

The Caracol Festival is held as a competition among hundreds of students from participating Makati public schools.
