Melbourne’s Radyo Pilipino 3ZZZ re-elects committee, continues four weekly programs

The Filipino Broadcasting Group of 92.3 FM 3ZZZ held their AGM on the 3rd April 2022.  An election was held for the following positions – Convener, Deputy Convener, Treasurer and Secretary.  A head for each committee – Membership, Radiothon and Events were also elected.

A motion was passed to re-elect the same people for the same positions.  This is to reflect that these people have worked hard through the pandemic to still continue to manage FBG.

Liz Honey was re-elected for another term and has been praised for leading the team through the tough times.  Liz has worked hard to ensure that the FBG were updated and to safely continue broadcasting throughout the lockdowns.  Liz is also a member of the Council at 92.3 FM 3ZZZ.

Newly elected 3ZZZ Filipino Broadcasting Group:

Convenor:  Liz Honey

Deputy Convenor: Patricia Granada-Gutierrez

Treasurer:  Elaine Soriano

Secretary:  Nelsie Marabe

Membership Coordinator:  Coleen Therese De Belen

Event Coordinator:  Bryan Yap

Radiothon Coordinator:  Matt Margarejo

The whole management team work peacefully together to achieve their goal of serving the Filipino community as best they can.

There are currently 4 Filipino programs running:
Buhay Pinoy, Buhay Abroad on Tuesdays (10-11am)
Hoy Pinoy! on Wednesdays (3 -4 pm)
Pinoy Gising Na! on Fridays (7-8am)
Pinoy Late Shift on Sundays (11pm–12 am)

The Filipino Program is one of the pioneers of Filipino radio in Melbourne and has now been running for 33 years.

We encourage everyone to become a member so we can continue to serve the Filipino community and we can pass on the Filipino legacy to the future generations of Filipinos migrating to this land of opportunities.
