Hosting the event are performance artist Tristan Meecham and Miss Gay Australia 2011 Chinta Woo-Allcock.

This year’s judges will assess the contestants’ performance based on Costume, Talent (Miss Gay Australia 2015 only), Swim Wear (Miss Transsexual Australia 2015 only), Evening Wear and a Question-and-Answer for the top three finalists.

“Miss Gay and Miss Transsexual Australia has grown from strength to strength since our inaugural year in 2010,” pageant organiser, Gayzha Davao said.

“This year, audiences can expect extravagant costumes, sky-high headwear and flamboyant lip-synching performances – all jam-packed within three hours of live entertainment. There will be jaw-dropping, wolf-whistling and picture-snapping during the night!” Davao added.

Sponsors include Alex Martin Photography, Alexi Darling Media, Birchbox Flowers, Charismatico Dancewear, Dizingof, Face of Australia, Kamol Cosmetic Hospital, Kroylan Australia and Philippine Tours.

Started by non-profit organisation Victorian Secrets Promotions, Miss Gay and Miss Transsexual Australia aims to raise awareness and promote acceptance and positive images of female impersonator performers and transgender/transsexual women. All contestants must be born male.
