“My grandparents are fantastic!”: A musical play

The Australian Filipino Community Services Inc. (AFCS) cordially invites everyone to watch its musical play titled “My Grandparents are Fantastic!”, written and directed by a young talent and volunteer, Corina Varga  to raise awareness about seniors rights and prevent elder abuse.

The musical play will be held on 22 February, 1-3pm at the Drum Theatre in Dandenong. Guests  Gary Ferguson, Community Educator of Seniors Rights Victoria,  and  Fiona York, Seniors Project Officer of the Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria, will speak briefly at the event about elder abuse in the context of the play, particularly social and emotional abuse and intergenerational conflict.

“You will be amazed by the array of talents we have (young and old) as they entertain you with nostalgic songs and dances. To name a few, we will have  our special guest performer, Mr. Adrian Li Donni  (young tenor of Broadway ‘s King & I);  young soul singer Giselle Hernandez, KRZ Aguilar on the piano, Hiyas Dance Troupe, a young violinist, the Frankston Multicultural Seniors Group and the Filipino band of Dennis Ramos, and the Jubilee Choir led by choirmaster Grace Ramos, ” Cynthia Norton, Chairperson of AFCS said.
