Manny Asuncion, Public Relations Officer of the Philippine Fiesta of Victoria Inc (PFVI), announced that the annual Philippine Fiesta will be held on the last week of October (25-26) instead of the usual last weekend of November. This is due to the Melbourne Showground’s busy schedule.

“The theme of this year’s Fiesta is ‘Sama-sama, kayang-kaya’ which articulates that being united can easily achieves one’s goal. No matter how hard the task is, if people work together as one, it can be done,” Asuncion told The Philippine Times.

The Philippine Fiesta of Victoria will be celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year. As a primary showcase of the Filipino arts and culture in Victoria, it has attracted not only Filipinos but lots of multicultural people as well.

Asuncion said that the PFVI management committee is currently “busy preparing for the biggest event of the year and hopes for full cooperation of the Filipino-Australian community in making the forthcoming Fiesta a huge success.”

Asuncion’s final invitation: “Sama-sama po tayong muli sa Fiesta!”
