About Amangpintor

Born on 28 January 1970, in Pantabangan, Nueva Ecija, Philippines, Elito Villaflor Circa, popularly known as Amangpintor, is celebrated for his distinctive “Blood and Hair” folk art. A self-taught artist and the father of Indigenouism Art, Amangpintor uses indigenous materials, including his own blood and hair, to create powerful works that speak to the spirit, resilience, and cultural heritage of the Filipino people.

His technique involves using only four acrylic water-based colours to craft vivid paintings that capture raw emotion and deep connections to his Filipino roots. His work has been featured by major outlets like CNN, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, and the History Channel, solidifying his status as one of the most innovative artists of his generation.

Previous Tours in Australia

He continued to impress in 2024, performing at the 126th Philippine Independence Day celebration in Tasmania. The event, attended by the Filipino-Tasmanian community and special guests, was a night filled with elegance and excitement, further cementing Amangpintor’s reputation as a celebrated artist within the community.
