The Soriano-Orodio Foundation launched its first charity ball on 9 February 2013 at La Mirage Receptions, Somerton with guests who ushered in the event with great energy. Emceed by Mrs Dina Delfino and Mr Alex Sy, the night became a memorable one for the organisers, performers and attendees who responded to the call of the goal of the foundation- to support deserving students, two schools and a nursing home in the Philippines.

The “Smooth-Jive” band, along with DJ Danny and the special string ensemble headed by Mr. Zion Abatayo, who patiently trained the young talents, have become delightful hits for the night, now receiving requests to perform in forthcoming community functions.

The major sponsors, along with guest speaker, Honorary Consul Ms Gigi Kalong reflected the respectability of the organisation.  The awarding of special prizes and raffle draw made the night an exciting one for the winners. The night started with a prayer of thanksgiving and a call to make a difference to others and somehow the whole ambience of fellowship pervaded the event. All was captured by official photographer Danny D’Mello. President of the Foundation, Ms Nelda Orodio-Estores commends her officers and members and thanks all the supporters for making the debut event a truly memorable one and maybe the beginning of many more.
