MELBOURNE, Australia – The 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) celebrated the best in Australian real estate at a grand gala held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. The event recognized leading developers and projects from across the country, highlighting achievements in development, design, and sustainability.
Top honours went to BHC Property, which was named Best Developer. BHC also won the Best Luxury Townhouse Development (Victoria) award for its Mercer project. Polytec Australia was recognized as Best Boutique Developer, and its Beauchamp Sydney project won Best Luxury Apartment Architectural Design (New South Wales).
MRCB International made history by winning the first-ever Sustainable Design Award for its 26 Vista project, which also received the award for Best Apartment Architectural Design.
OSK Property emerged as a major winner, taking home the Best Apartment Development (Australia) award for its BLVD project. This project also secured accolades for Best Wellness Residential Development, Best Integrated Work from Home Development, and Best Apartment Interior Design.
Hexa and IFD were awarded Best Townhouse Development (Australia) for Lumina Townhomes, which also won Best Townhouse Development (Victoria). Hexa and Spectre Property were further honoured with the Best Industrial Development award for their Found Huntingdale project.
Blairgrove Group stood out with multiple wins, including Best Retail Development for The Burwood Chinatown and Best Retail Interior Design for The Grand Shanghai Hotel. Additionally, they won Best Heritage Development for Leichhardt Hotel.
In the category of historic properties, The Playford Adelaide – MGallery by Hachem Architecture Pty Ltd took home the awards for Best Heritage Interior Design and Best Hotel Interior Design.
Notable design firms such as CHT Architects and Parallel Workshop Architects also took home awards. CHT Architects won Best Office Architectural Design for 101 Cremorne, and Parallel Workshop Architects were recognized for Best Apartment Architectural Design (Victoria) with their project Sculpt Hawthorn.
Other standout projects included Kingsbridge by Hermitage Building Group, which won Best Housing Architectural Design and Best Housing Interior Design, and Elements at Carousel by Jean Yip Developments, which took home awards for Best Investment Apartment Development and Best Apartment Development (Western Australia).
The night also honoured Sydney Ma, managing director of Top Spring Australia, with the Australia Real Estate Personality of the Year award for his company’s contributions to sustainable, community-focused projects.
The awards were judged by an independent panel of experts led by Ivan Lam, with the process overseen by Josh Chye of HLB Mann Judd to ensure fairness and transparency.
Winners of the 2024 PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Australia) will compete in the 19th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards Grand Final on 13 December 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand.
