  1. Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
From 1 July 2010, a new national registration scheme for nurses and midwives operates across Australia.

If so, does the Nursing Board of Victoria (NBV) still exist?

  2. Hi. I’m a registered nurse here in the Philippines. I’m interested about the IRON Program.

  3. Imelda you are correct, the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia is the new National board that is responsible for all nursing and midwifery registration. Accordingly all the state nursing boards including NBV no longer exist.

With nationalisation there have been significant changes to registration, forms, documents etc. Nurses are encouraged to review the new policies and procedures.

  4. President of the State Parliament of Victoria, the Honourable Robert Smith,

This is incorrect, Mr Smith is the President of the Legislative Council in the Victorian Parliament, he is not the President, there is no President of the Victorian Parliament, we have a premier who is not Mr Smith.

  5. Thank you for bringing to our attention the incorrect position of Mr Robert Smith. We have now corrected it..
