ACME President Josephine Quintero presents to the guests highlights of ACME's achievements and first big event, Melbourne Cup Spring Carnival.

Benjamin Crichton, formerly a roof tiler and now into finance and property investment, shared three important business tips to those who attended the Australian Council of Multicultural Entrepreneurs’ 3rd quarter business forum last 21 September at the Bayview on The Park in Melbourne.

First, he said it is important to find a mentor. A trusted mentor, he said, will help map out one’s business direction and goal setting for the business to grow. For him, he found a mentor who not only focuses on money/work but maintains life balance. Benjamin admired his mentor for including his family as his most important possession. Second is to read books to get information for ways to improve one’s business and also for personal growth.

Third is to look for trends. For example, Facebook can be used for social media marketing. FB is in fact the top social media tool being used by business owners at the moment.

The other business owners and members introduced themselves and gave a brief background about their companies and services. Author and pianist Lorna Ramirez also talked about her new book, “Moments of Love, Lust and Ecstasy”.

Gawad Kalinga Australia State Head for Victoria Marisa Vedar also gave a brief talk and encouraged everyone to develop social conscience as they run their business. Gawad Kalinga Australia will hold a Hope Ball on 21 October 2017, 6.30pm at the Grand Star Receptions to raise funds for GK projects. Gawad Kalinga helps poor FiIipino families by training them to be social entrepreneurs to improve their condition.
