The Australian-Filipino Community Services Inc (AFCS) in collaboration with local Filipino stores Masagana Fil-Asian Groceries of Boronia and Dandenong, and RJ’s Fine Foods‘ Longganisa have been reaching out to isolated seniors to deliver their favourite longganisa and pandesal during this circuit breaker lockdown.
This initiative is supported by the Commonwealth Government’s meal assistance and grocery support to social isolated seniors.
“We are continuing our free service delivery during lockdown. We’re providing fresh baked breads such as pandecoco, pandesal with corned beef, and ensaymada from our “suki”, Alvin’s Creations’ Bakery,” said Norminda Forteza, AFCS Chaplain.
Terry and Boy of Masagana Stores provided their accessible delivery service, while Ramon Tisico of RJ Fine Foods provided low cost longganisas, along with Jenny and Alvin’s of Alvin’s Creations’ Bakery prepared bread items for our seniors.
AFCS is currently seeking community partnership with local Filipino groceries in Gippsland, Melton, Shepparton and Ballarat.
To request for the above free services for delivery to your home, please contact the AFCS office (03) 9701-3421 during business hours.
