Filipino-Australians and mango lovers across Australia can soon expect the return of fresh Philippine Carabao mangoes, with initial shipments scheduled to arrive in the first half of June 2026.
In a statement posted on 6 June 2026, the Philippine Embassy in Australia announced that Philippine Carabao mangoes, recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s sweetest mangoes, are making their return to the Australian market for the 2026 season.
The Embassy said the mangoes are expected to be distributed across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and other parts of Australia through selected retailers, produce wholesalers, Asian grocers, foodservice operators and hospitality partners as seasonal supply continues to expand throughout the country.
The arrival also comes at a timely period for Australian consumers, with locally grown mangoes generally out of season during the winter months. Australia’s domestic mango season typically runs from around September to March or April.
For many Filipino-Australians, the return of Philippine mangoes also brings back familiar tastes associated with home, family gatherings and summer desserts in the Philippines – from chilled mango slices to mango float and mango shakes.
The Embassy said the return of the mangoes highlights the continuing growth of Philippine agriculture and trade with Australia, while giving Filipino-Australian consumers access to one of the Philippines’ best-known fruit exports.
According to the Embassy, the 2026 rollout will feature refined grading standards, upgraded export packaging, improved cold-chain handling and elevated retail presentation aimed at delivering a premium experience for consumers throughout the season.
Beyond the commercial side of the trade, the Embassy said the programme also supports thousands of Filipino farming families and regional agricultural communities throughout the Philippines.
“Behind every shipment are growers, orchard workers, packing facilities, logistics teams, and exporters all working together to deliver premium-quality fruit to international consumers,” the Embassy said.
Philippine Carabao mangoes are available only during a limited seasonal window, and consumers are encouraged to monitor announcements from participating retailers and distributors for availability updates.
Consumers, retailers, wholesalers and hospitality partners interested in securing supply for the 2026 season are encouraged to visit the official Carabao Mango Australia website for updates, product information and pre-order enquiries.
