Asian Australian Alliance (AAA), a movement for empowering and giving a strong and independent Asian Australian voice, has held a forum and media conference on 23 September, at the Victorian Trades Hall Council.

Feminist and equality rights advocate Melba Marginson joined the forum to put a Filipino perspective on the issue.  She joined other members of the panel in condemning the misinformation and hate-literature that have been disseminated by the “no” supporters to Asian communities in various languages.

The AAA has released its statement to counter the scaremongering that is targeted at Asian Australians.
