Brosas and Joson collaborate in dramedy ‘Will You Marry?’

A mix of everything – that’s what best describes the new movie starring K Brosas and Elisse Joson as mother and daughter Honey and Sweet. Mavx Productions produced it, who also brought us the Paolo Contis and Yen Santos starrer, “Faraway Land”.

They started the movie way back in December 2020, shooting scenes in Copenhagen, Denmark in the midst of a pandemic. Though admittedly, K said that it worked to their advantage. Since most of the country was in lockdown, they had most of the locations to themselves.

Like the movie, K Brosas is a mix of everything – a performer, comedienne, host and actress “Will You Marry?” is her first movie starrer in her 21 years in showbusiness. And just like her character, she is also a single mum who raised her 24-year-old daughter on her own. She shared that she is very much like Honey, a makulit and cool mom who is very close to her children, adding that she did not need to internalize her part since it came very naturally to her.

The movie is described as a feel-good, very light family movie. It has bits of comedy, a love story, and some drama, but in its heart is a mother-daughter story. And K Brosas emphasized a second chance at love. And since we can’t travel yet, the movie also allows us to see the beautiful sites of Copenhagen from the safety of our home.

Will You Marry? is available to rent from TFC.
