Ka-Probinsyano na Sha

The Megastar Ms. Sharon Cuneta is the latest star to join the longest-running action drama series in the Philippines – FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. This will be her first teleserye with the Kapamilya Network.

Sharon revealed that she has always been hesitant about joining a TV series, but saying yes to Ang Probinsyano was a dream come true for her. She also added that her whole family and household are excited to see and watch her on the show.

The actress considers the late Fernando Poe Jr as one of her best friends in the business. She shared that once she received a call from FPJ in the middle of her taping asking her to meet him in a sari-sari store near Sto. Domingo Church in Quezon City, when she arrived FPJ apparently was bragging to the store owner that he knows the Mega Star. She also shared that the term “Ma’am” made famous by Robin Padilla, actually came from FPJ. Sharon is very thankful that Coco Martin has maintained the Action King’s legacy and made it shine even brighter. She said that it is an honour for her to be part of this series.

They are still very secretive about her role in the series but shared that it has a very good backstory and involves a lot of flashbacks. She also didn’t say whether her role would have any involvement with Rowell Santiago’s character – who was her love team in her younger years.

Sharon will soon be doing a self-quarantine before joining the rest of the cast for taping. She is excited to start working with the cast, most of whom are her friends or people she has worked with before. The Megastar said that she is open to doing action scenes and if given a chance would love to use a bow and arrow on the show, since archery was her favourite sport in high school.
