Cebu Pacific, Philippines’ leading airline, has teamed up with Sydney’s Filipino-fusion burger joint, Burger Point, and the Filipino-owned home of Melbourne’s original smashed patties, St. Burgs, to give away 99 free burgers at each restaurant in celebration of its crazy 9/9 sale.

The airline will be giving away 99 of Burger Point’s iconic Marvin Glaze burgers, featuring a donut glazed bun, and cheese and bacon topping, from 10.30am on Thursday September 7 at its Circular Quay restaurant.

Burger Point opened its eighth restaurant in Newcastle this past week on September 2 and was named by Lizzo as her ‘go-to’ diner during her 2020 ‘Cuz I Love you Too’ tour.

Then from 11am on Friday September 8, Melburnians can head to St Burgs’ Caroline Springs location for a free Cheesy Bacon Mushroom Durger.

Started by the Soto brothers born to Filipino parents, St. Burgs pays tribute to popular Filipino food such as The Yum Durger, Adobo Shaker Fries, Durger Steak, Sinigang Wings, and Ube Shake and the famous sweet style spaghetti paired with chicken and gravy.

Burgers will be available at both joints until gone. Every customer who gets a free burger will have the opportunity to win return flights from Melbourne or Sydney to Manila by sharing on social media.

Cebu Pacific’s crazy 9/9 seat sale will run from September 7 to September 10, with flights from Melbourne and Sydney to Manila from as low as AUD 179 and AUD 189 one-way all-in fare. The travel period is from April 1 to August 31, 2024.

The carrier resumed its Melbourne flights earlier in the year on Monday March 27 after a hiatus of approximately three years and operates a thrice-weekly service direct from Melbourne to Manila. Sydney celebrates its nine-year anniversary this month of its maiden flight to Manila and operates four times a week.

Flights can be booked for as low as AUD179 from Sydney and AUD189 from Melbourne one-way all in at cebupacificair.com. Cebu Pacific will continue to have low prices for the rest of September.
