~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC-NSW), the peak state organisation of the Filipino community, in co-operation with the Philippine Consulate General in Sydney, will again celebrate its annual Philippine National Day (PND) Ball on the occasion of the 116th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence on 7 June 2014 (Saturday) at the Grand Pavilion, Rosehill Gardens, Rosehill, NSW. The theme of this year’s celebration is: “”Karunungan at Pagmakabayan Tungo sa Kaunlaran” (Knowledge and Patriotism Towards Progress).
This Philippine National event will also coincide in honouring the 150th birth anniversary of one of our National Heroes Apolinario Mabini.
A PND Ball is one of the most anticipated community events as it draws in community and business leaders as well as political and government functionaries in a show of solidarity with the Filipino-Australian community of New South Wales. It is also one of the main sources of funds that enable PCC-NSW to carry out its objectives, one of which is to assist our fellow brothers and sisters here and in the Philippines particularly in times of natural calamities.
On this proud occasion, it would be a great honour to be graced by your presence. As in previous years, PND Ball tickets run out fast so please contact the following PCC-NSW Officers indicating your ticket requirements by 15th May 2014.
