La Naval Food Packaging Solutions celebrated its 20 years in the business last 8 December 2018 at The Atrium, Hyatt Place in Essendon Fields attended by corporate friends, partners, staff and friends. The company also celebrated its Christmas party.
La Naval Services started in 1998 as it operated in a small room within a large salad manufacturer in Melbourne. It slowly became a nationwide portion-control packaging company. In 2004, it opened its custom-designed site in Campbellfield, Victoria to meet industry standards.
Charlie (CEO and Managing Director) and former wife Rose Yao (Co-owner/Director) founded the company and it is now servicing the packaging needs of Convenience Foods, Lite-n-Easy, Riverina Dairy, Bega Cheese, Costco and KFC, among others.
Nello Traficante, External Company Accountant of La Naval, in his speech traced the history, struggles and success of La Naval Food Packaging Solutions. “Today, La Naval has become a market leader in the field of portion control packaging to the food service industry,” said the Director of Stannards Accountants and Advisors.
In 2020, La Naval will move to a new and bigger factory in Somerton offering state-of-the art portion control packaging facility. Hopefully, its current staff of 50 will grow bigger and the services wider in reach.
During the night, long-serving employees were awarded plaque of appreciation. As Charlie Yao said, the staff have already become part of the La Naval family. The celebration had airfare raffle tickets for La Naval staff, dance presentations, and live band. There were gift giving for the kids and photo booth for all the guests.
