CFCA goes dancing at Dance-O-Rama 3

By Fred Jover

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThe Catholic Charismatic group Couples for Christ Australia (CFCA) engaged the dance floor when it held the 3rd Dance-o-Rama at the Sacred Heart Parish Event Centre last 15June 2013. The marathon dance event was attended by about 250 members of the community and their guests.

The dancing event was planned and organised by the Hillside and Bayside Chapters of CFCA Victoria to raise much-needed funds to help members of the charismatic community, particularly its youth and elderly members (Youth for Christ and Handmaids of the Lord) to attend the forthcoming Australia-Pacific Conference and 25th Anniversary Celebration of CFCA’s establishment in Australia and Pacific countries to be held in Merroo, New South Wales from 5th to 7thJuly 2013. The social event also provided the charismatic community members a welcome break from their weekly grind of household prayer meetings and scripture study, as well as their core mission of evangelisation in East and Southeastern Melbourne, and serving in Catholic parishes of East and Southeast Melbourne and the La Trobe Valley and Gippsland region.

The third of a series of fund-raising dance held over the last three (3) years was made possible through the commitment and dedication to serve their Brethren by community elders and household leaders, led by Tony and Carmen Kamus, Elmer and Jane Bandalan, Boy and Ruby Banaag, Greg and Nini Pedrola, Philip and Agnes Grijalvo, Tony and Cory Santos, Mrs Malou Teves , Glen and Ellen Simon, Bong and Gaudie Tandoc, Edwin and Eva Miasis, and Anthony and Bing Estrada.

The repertoire of dance music was provided free of charge by DJ Rogel Noveloso, a long-time member of the CFCA Community.
