Philippine tradition comes alive as the Grand Philippine Fiesta Kultura, the biggest and biggest Filipino festival in Sydney returns on Sunday, 6 October 2024. The all day event is happening from 9am to 9pm at the Fairfield Showground, Smithfield Road Prairiewood NSW.

It’s a festive and cultural milieu of songs and dances performed by various community organisations. Headlining the entertainment on stage is Filipina from Western Australia, 2024 Australian Idol runner up, Amy Reeves along with homegrown talents – singer, Sephy Francisco and comedian, Sasha Ramirez. Amy’s recent Australian Idol win has taken the community by storm. Sephy is the grand champion of Pioneers Got Talent and the Voice Citi competition and the 2018 X-Factor UK. Sasha has fronted numerous shows including ‘Eat Bulaga” and is guaranteed to leave you in stitches
Fiesta Kultura is the first Philippine fiesta in Australia and is now on its 34th year and continues to generate buzz among Filipinos and Aussies alike.
The highlight of the day will be the crowning of Miss Philippines-Australia and Miss Charity Queen in the evening, the first-ever beauty pageant staged in Australia. Last year’s Miss Philippine-Australia and Charity Queen Australia, Bella De la Cruz returns for her last walk and to crown this year’s winners. Vying for this year’s titles are Ania Nogaliza (ACT), Myan Pulgo (Victoria), Zoe Honeyman (Queensland), and from NSW, Karenza De Leon, Christine Macayana, Georgia Fenton, and Kiara McCarthy.
This year, the Filipino Food Movement lays out a Pinoy feast for lunch and merienda with “Kamayan at Kuwentuhan” and tickets may be obtained from Eventbrite. Stallholders with their usual food delights and delicacies will be tummy tempting and sure to satisfy everyone’s cravings.
