First World Bamboo Day celebration set

The first ever World Bamboo Day will be celebrated in Australia on Saturday 12 September 2015 at the Wyndham Civic Centre from 10 am to 8 pm.
World Bamboo Day is celebrated worldwide each year on September 18 to increase the awareness of bamboo globally towards its sustainable use.

This inaugural event dubbed World Bamboo Day: Food and Fun Festival is sponsored by Pasa Pinoy and The Migrant Hub. The day will be filled with exhibits of bamboo products; information sessions from bamboo advocates; a bamboo nursery; jumping castle, face painting and roving entertainer for kids; food kiosks; a cultural show featuring the different uses of bamboo and a diverse list of performers from various ethnic communities.

Tickets to the event are $5 for adults, $10 for a family with two adults and kids enter for free.
