Independence day in Ballarat

The Filipino-Australian Association of Ballarat Inc (FAABI) celebrated Philippine Independence Day on 12 June 2013. The flag-raising ceremony was attended by the City of Ballarat Councillor John Philips, Frances Salenga, Elizabeth Hardiman, Paul Ryan, and representatives from FAABI headed by its President Shirley Hart. Arlene Brewer lead the singing of the National Anthem. Other officers who were present were Regina Bautista, Vice President; Dion Leonard, Secretary; and Laurie Hocking and Pastor Robert Gray, Committee Members.
