Ivabelle’s Artwork at the Brisbane Mabuhay Festival

IVABELLE BERNABE, a contemporary Filipino-Australian Artist, will showcase her work in the upcoming 1st Brisbane Mabuhay Festival, a Trade Exhibition Show organised by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry Australia Philippines Inc. The Festival will be held at Suncorp Piazza, Southbank, Brisbane on Sunday 14th November 2010

Ivabelle Icao Bernabe is a Brisbane based artist who was born in the Philippines and has made Australia home since 1988.

Ivabelle has shown her works in a number of exhibitions in Australia. She had her first show at Logan Gallery, Brisbane. Other Solo exhibitions were held at Hogan Gallery in Collingwood Melbourne and at Circle Gallery, West End Brisbane.

Internationally, Ivabelle’s works have been displayed at the Pallazo Margutta in Rome , at the Ramstein American Air Base in Kaiserslautern, Germany and at a charity event at the Ramada Hotel in Trier, also in Germany.

Ivabelle is the main sponsor of the Bi-Annual Art Competition for IVABELLE AWARDS held at Dipolog City, Philippines. This is in collaboration with the Ta Glibon Ini Lady Art Collective, Inc and the Dipolog City Tourism. Her on-going contribution to the Filipino Artists is recognized by the Dipolog City Government. The next event will be in May 2012.

“I was very happy and proud to see the amount of talent and the quality of work produced by Filipino Artist in the Philippines during the exhibition.”

“I hope to provide the local artist the opportunity for a wider exposure. We have a lot to offer,” she said about the art competition.

Most recently, Ivabelle has attended an exhibition “Many Cultures-One Home” at Studio 13, West End, Brisbane during the Refugee Week celebration sponsored by Rotary Club and ACCESS.

Ivabelle’s upcoming Solo Exhibition entitled “From Inside out” will be at the Tuggeranong Art Centre in Canberra, 5-23 May 2011.
