In June 2018, he returned with the “Break The Mold” tour, followed by the “Just Kidding” world tour in December 2019, which expanded to include Adelaide. Bohm Presents continues to support Koy’s growing fan base, producing the upcoming “Just Being Koy” tour in 2025.

Reflecting on his experiences with Australian audiences, Koy shared, “I’m so glad that Australia relates to it. It just shows that comedy is a universal language. It doesn’t matter who we are, as long as we laugh, we get it and we can communicate.”

From humble beginnings to global stardom

Jo Koy, born Joseph Glenn Herbert, began his comedic journey in the modest setting of a Las Vegas coffee house. Drawing inspiration from his Filipino-American heritage, particularly his vibrant family life, Koy’s relatable humour has resonated with audiences worldwide. His rise to fame includes breaking ticket sales records at prestigious venues like the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila and Radio City Music Hall in New York City.

A cultural ambassador through comedy

Koy’s work transcends mere entertainment; it’s a celebration of culture and identity. His 2022 film, Easter Sunday, is a heartfelt tribute to Filipino-American families, showcasing traditions, familial bonds, and the nuances of cultural identity. Through his comedy specials and memoir, Mixed Plate: Chronicles of an All-American Combo, Koy offers audiences a glimpse into his life, blending humour with poignant reflections on his upbringing.

Jo Koy’s collaboration with Netflix has also helped catapult him to global stardom. His five Netflix stand-up specials—including Live from Seattle (2017), Comin’ in Hot (2019), In His Elements (2020), Live from the Los Angeles Forum (2022), and Live from Brooklyn (2024)—have showcased his unmatched ability to weave personal stories with cultural insight.
