The primary purpose of this role is to take end to end responsibility for wiring up our trailers and dust-suppression units in the Assembly Shed. You will need to do this in line with engineering specifications and in line with best practice to a high standard of workmanship. Ideally you will have exposure to installing, repairing, wiring and maintaining all electrical components found in various custom manufactured trailers.

About the Auto Electrician role

You will be responsible for the following key functions:

  • To assist with the assembly and wiring of TTI products including trailers and dust suppression units as directed
  • To assemble product and quality check in preparation for dispatch
  • Coordinate product assembly and fitting with the Dispatch Manager to ensure delivery priorities are met
  • To operate machinery, forklifts, overhead cranes and hand tools according to Industry good practice and TTi safe working procedures
  • Assist in keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe at all times
  • Maintain punctuality in regard of start and finish times and work overtime as the job requires to ensure production schedules are met.
  • Maintain internal quality checks and complete relevant paperwork to ensure all processing and wiring meets TTi quality standards.
  • Follow all company OH&S Procedures
  • To regard TTi Management standards of personal presentation, language and conduct and attitude in dealing with other staff, TTi clients and suppliers.

About you…

You will be able to demonstrate the following…

  • Minimum Certificate III or IV Automotive Electrical qualification
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience as a qualified Automotive Electrician.
  • Technical knowledge in the use of equipment and machinery
  • Knowledge and understanding of wiring types and techniques utilised within various trailer components.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of equipment installation, ensuring equipment is functional.
  • Must be practically and mechanically orientated.
  • Must be safety conscious in a heavy manufacturing environment.
  • Strong work ethic and stable work history
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, fun environment
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate an innovative and positive approach to challenging project and tasks
  • Fast learner and ready to hit the ground running
  • Ability to work autonomously, must care about quality of work

If you are looking to get off the “tools” in a dirty mechanic shop and looking for a career change and an opportunity to use your skills in a manufacturing setting then we are looking for you!

You will need to do this in line with engineering specifications and in line with best practice to a high standard of workmanship. Ideally you will have experience working as a mechanic on cars and are now wanting to utilise your skills assembling a different product.

  • Must be practically and mechanically orientated.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, fun environment
  • Proactive and able to demonstrate an innovative and positive approach to challenging project and tasks
  • Fast learner and ready to hit the ground running
