Before he was known as a wisecracking funny guy, Joross Gamboa was part of the love team JoRox with Roxanne Guinoo. Both of them were products of ABS CBN’s Star Circle Quest Batch 1, which also started Sandara Park and Melissa Ricks’ showbiz career.
Hoy Love You is a seven-part romcom miniseries, which can be viewed via iWant TFC. It stars Joross (as Jules) and Roxanne (as Margaret) as single parents and is about finding a second chance in love. In real life, Joross and Roxanne have their own families now. Although they haven’t lost touch and have starred in a few MMK episodes together; this show is like their second chance to make “kilig” the fans of their love team. They credit each other’s professionalism and being good friends as part of why they work well together. It also helped that the location, cast and crew were perfectly picked for this project.
It also stars Dominic Ochoa as Roxanne’s ex-boyfriend, Keanna Reeves, Brenna Garcia, teen loveteam Aljon Mendoza and Karina Bautista, Pepe Herrera, Yamyam Gucong, TJ Valderrama and Carmi Martin. It is directed by Theodore Boborol and is his first sitcom. As of writing, they had ranked #2 of the most downloaded shows on iWant TFC.
