Starting a blog needs to be done many months before you travel because it takes a while to make money from blogging. After all, it takes some time to build a huge following, which translates to massive internet traffic. The best advantage to this job is that you will be able to visit some of the most remote and beautiful places on the Earth, all while having a full-time job and a pretty decent salary to go along with it. Remember this isn’t just laying around drinking cocktails on a luxury cruise ship. You’ll need to do all your homework before you sign up and find out exactly what you’re getting yourself into.

Sail away and become a sailor

If you don’t mind hard work then becoming a sailor could be exactly what you always dreamed of. It is not simply navigating a ship, but also cleaning, doing maintenance work on the ship, some welding and even carpentry.

Most companies will require you to sign on for a certain amount of time so make sure you read up on it. If you the smell of the ocean drives you, then sailing can be a job for those who on the side can see many sights around the world.

If you are not afraid of hard work and getting dirty then working on the land may be the right choice for you. If milking cows and picking fruits isn’t exactly your idea of a great time, then you could consider volunteer work. There are some great volunteer sites that will enable you to get free accommodation and meals in exchange for hours as a volunteer. The travel is a bonus, but the important perk here will be the life transforming experiences you get along the way.
