MELBOURNE — McCare Global Consulting Australia Pty Ltd officially marked its entry into the Australian market with a launch event held on 29 July at the Holiday Inn Express in Southbank, Melbourne.
The company’s expansion reflects a growing demand for skilled professionals in sectors such as healthcare, aged care, and the trades – areas where McCare aims to bridge international talent with local opportunities.
The launch was attended by sector leaders in recruitment, healthcare, and education, including international partners and Filipino community advocates. Representing the Philippine Consulate General in Melbourne was Consul Jan Sherwin Wenceslao, who joined attendees in witnessing the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and business dedication.
Pastor of Every Nation Church Lawrence Yoshi Matsuwaki led the business dedication ceremony.
In his keynote address, McCare Global CEO Macky Bordeos described the Australian expansion as “more than just a business move.”
“We are here because we see this country as a land of opportunity – not just for Filipino workers, but for skilled professionals from many countries,” Bordeos said. “Australia’s growing demand is clear, and McCare is ready to help meet that need with integrity, quality, and compassion.”
Bordeos also acknowledged the pivotal role of Raul V. Hernandez, a former Philippine Honorary Consul of Victoria and now McCare’s partner in Australia, whose values and advocacy aligned with the company’s mission.
“Raul didn’t talk about profit. He talked about people. About lives. And about the hope we could bring by working together,” Bordeos said.
The event also recognised Winston Saddul, McCare’s Chief Operating Officer, for his role in building international partnerships and helping steer the company’s expansion into Oceania.
McCare’s global footprint and services
McCare Global, originally founded in Winnipeg, Canada in 2014, has since blossomed into a global operation spanning North America, Asia, and now Australia – with a European expansion in progress, starting with a planned branch in Germany.
What began as a small healthcare staffing agency has evolved into a group of companies offering services across consulting, education, immigration, staffing, training, technology, and merchandise. McCare now supports over 1,600 healthcare professionals globally, servicing sectors that include nursing, allied health, and aged care, with an emphasis on delivering care that is patient-centred, culturally respectful, and of high quality.
Founded by CEO Macky Bordeos, McCare’s mission is centred on equity, compassion, and empowerment, shaped by his nursing background. The company’s focus goes beyond placement: it provides visa assistance, NCLEX preparation, VisaScreen processing, and comprehensive mentorship and training programs to ensure professional success and dignity.
Within the Philippines, McCare Global Consulting Inc. also operates as a hub for language and skills training. Through partnerships with IDP, it offers Computer-Delivered IELTS testing in Davao and Iloilo, equipping candidates for global career opportunities. These facilities are recognised IELTS test centres and also provide targeted programs for professionals from rural or under-served regions to prepare them for international placements with confidence.
“This isn’t just another company opening – it’s the continuation of a purpose-driven mission. A mission to open doors, build futures, and create a legacy rooted in trust, ethics, and compassion,” Bordeos said.
A Mission Rooted in Care
The foundation of McCare is deeply personal. Drawing from his experience as a nurse, Bordeos continues to guide McCare with a vision grounded in equity, empathy, and empowerment. “If others without a healthcare background could run a nursing agency,” he once said, “then as a nurse myself, I could do it better with empathy and understanding.”
This philosophy has shaped McCare’s service model: fair wages, culturally sensitive training, ethical recruitment practices, and strong partnerships with institutions that value dignity and diversity. Core values such as fairness, transparency, and collaboration continue to guide the company’s approach in every region it serves.
The company’s sustainable model aims to create win-win outcomes, offering competitive wages and education pathways for professionals while delivering trusted staffing solutions to global employers.
Following the formal program, Just Jam entertained guests during lunch as attendees networked and explored potential collaborations in training, recruitment pathways, and international placements—all grounded in McCare’s principle: not just recruiting people, but caring for them.
Angel Panuncialman, Regional Manager of McCare Global Consulting, Inc., served as the emcee during the event.
