The Philippine Consulate General (PCG) in Melbourne is informing the public that in response to the lingering public health emergency, and for the safety of its clients, guests and personnel, its office is temporarily closed until further notice.

The closure took effect on 24 March 2020.

In a statement issued by the PCG, the closure is consistent with the partial lockdown enforced by the State of Victoria on the same date, and the precautionary measures being taken by the building management to ensure the safety of the workplace.

Under the current conditions brought about by COVID-19, consular services will be suspended indefinitely.

The PCG advises clients with requests for emergency assistance to contact the Consulate on 0426 561 217 or email melbourne.pcg@dfa.gov.ph.
