Philippine Festival to hold Amateur Singing Contest

The 2017 Philippine Festival of Music, Arts and Culture to be held on 4-5 March 2017 will have its first Amateur Singing Contest

The grand champion will receive trophy, one return trip ticket to the Philippines, three nights hotel accommodation, pocket money of $500 and one balikbayan box to send to the Philippines.

Mechanics

  1. Audition is open to Filipinos 18 years old and over and currently residing in Australia.
  2. You can choose any song.
  3. Audition video using a smartphone, computer or videocam can be posted on EMG Sports and Entertainment Facebook account.
  4. Audition video should have an introduction to include your name, age and where you are from.
  5. Audition video posted on EMG Sports and Entertainment Facebook account should gain more likes. The most likes will get up to 40% points while organisers will give up to 60% points totalling 100%.
  6. The top ten who get the highest points from Facebook likes and voice quality will be the official contestants for the Philippine Festival of Music, Arts and Culture Amateur Singing Contest on March 4 and 5, 2017
  7. Submission of entry is from January 23 to March 1, 2017.
  8. Only one video entry per person.
  9. The contest is only open to amateur singers. Winners of major national and international singing contests are not eligible to join.
  10. Judges will choose five from the ten contestants for the semi finalist and sing on March 5, 2017, Sunday.
  11. Judges will declare the Grand Champion, First Runner-up and Second Runner-up.

Prizes to be won

  • Grand Champion
    trophy, one return trip ticket to the Philippines, three nights hotel accommodation, pocket money of $500 and one balikbayan box to send to the Philippines.
  • First Runner-up
    trophy, $200 cash prize and one balikbayan box to send to the Philippines.
  • Second runner-up
    trophy, $100 cash prize and one balikbayan box to send to the Philippines.
