San Pedro Calungsod feast to be celebrated

The Filipino Catholic Chaplaincy Archdiocese of Melbourne will commemorate the feast day of San Pedro Calungsod on 28 April starting at 2pm at St. Brigid’s Church, 378 Nicholson St, North Fitzroy. A special invitation is extended to young people to join in the praise and worship, the Holy Eucharistic celebration, and the fellowship/agape.

He was a young Roman Catholic Filipino sacristan and missionary catechist, who along with Spanish Jesuit missionary Blessed Diego Luis de San Vitores, suffered religious persecution and martyrdom on Guam for their missionary work in 1672.
