The search for my father Alberto del Prado Suyat

My name is Brenda Suyat Tiglao, and I am seeking assistance to locate the whereabouts of my father, Alberto del Prado Suyat. He came to Australia to work some 41 years ago as a singer-musician.

Born on 18 May 1936, he left my mother, my two brothers and myself (I was seven years old then) without a clue where he could have lived in Australia. His last letter to my mother dated sometime in 1981, indicating that he was somewhere in Queensland, but he could have moved from one part of Australia to another.

I spent most of my holidays and other opportunities, including assistance from friends and luck if I could have to the very least searching for any known whereabouts of my father. I want to know if he is still alive. If so, I am not asking for anything else but to see and talk to him as his daughter. I have tried calling Immigration, Centrelink, Telstra, and all possible Departments, but everything is kept confidential.

I even have local friends visiting State libraries and looking at their archives to research any relevant info that may point us in the right direction where I can get any information about him. Wherever he is right now, I’ll be most willing to communicate with him either by mail, e-mail or telephone if he thinks personally meeting me is not yet possible at this time. If he had joined our Lord already, I would be glad to know and communicate with any of his surviving relatives in Australia. My only hope is that my message to my father will reach across. And I hope someone might have any idea as to where my father is and can send information through the following details:
