Villar concedes to Aquino

Senator Manny Villar of the Nacionalista Party graciously concedes defeat to Liberal presidential bet Senator Benigno Aquino III.

Villar congratulated Aquino on his victory.

“The challenges he now faces are enormous and we should work together,” he said in his speech.

While saddened by his defeat, he assured the people that he will remain the champion of the poor.

Villar also mentioned in his concession speech that he would pursue to cleanse his name after the bad publicity and accusations hurled against him in the course of the electoral campaign.

He thanked God for his guidance during the three-month campaign. He also thanked his family, relatives, and most especially to the volunteers and supporters for their unwavering support. Lastly, the thank the media.
