BANTU Ph is seeking funds to send Rodolfo, Mark and Kenneth to the 13th International Capoeira Angola Youth Encounter happening in Sydney in August 2022. Apart from being special guests, they will also participate in a leadership training program with some of the industry’s leading experts.
As a result of the experience gained from training in Australia, these young educators will return to the Philippines strengthened with more knowledge, skills, and insights that will help them become more effective agents of change in the fight against poverty.
From being at-risk youth to youth educators, Rodolfo, Mark and Kenneth have turned their lives around and slowly lifted themselves and their families out of the terrible poverty that traps millions of Filipinos in slums around Metro Manila.
Their mission is to help hundreds of other underprivileged kids succeed in life through the art of Capoeira and other impactful activities.
They will use all funds raised to cover their trip costs, such as airfare, visas, accommodations, and more. Any excess funds will go to BANTU’s Leadership Academy (BLAC) Program, which is designed to empower and prepare the next generation of educators.
To support the young educators’ trip, visit GoFundMe.
